Why was Auto-Bounce Created?

In short, We HATE running stems. It’s a complete waste of time.


Composers, producers, and songwriters commonly have to provide stems and mixes to an engineer, trailer house, music library, or client. These stems might be grouped into categories like Percussion, Vocals, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Pads, Arps, etc. Sometimes there is a need to run stems both "Wet" (with effects) and “Dry” (without effects). The need to create multiple mixes is also very common. Often, an un-mastered mix is required in addition to a mastered mix. All of this can become very time-consuming.


This can get even more challenging for composers in games, often requiring multiple bar ranges to be run as separate mixes and separate sets of stems. This can quickly add up to a massive list of files and folders, requiring many hours of monotonous and repetitive work for the composer, producer, assistant, etc.
Why waste so much time and money doing something that a computer can do?

 

Enter Auto-Bounce. Auto-Bounce is an automation tool born out of the real-world needs and frustrations of its creator, Tom Salta (Halo Series, PUBG, Deathloop, Tom Clancy Series, Prince of Persia).

Joining forces with award-winning virtual instrument developer and engineer David Molnar, they created Auto-Bounce, allowing users to automate the monotonous and time-consuming task of running stems, multi-tracks, and mixes in Logic Pro. Auto-Bounce is like having your own virtual assistant, freeing you to do something else while all your stems and mixes are bounced for you.

David Molnar

Co-Founder & Partner

David has spent his entire career developing music and audio products. His skillset includes both hardware and software design and development with the ability to take a product from conception to the finish line. He has worked in senior roles for companies including Moog Music and Line 6 creating some of the industry’s most praised products. In 2020 David started his own plugin brand Renegade Soundplay where he released the award-winning High Score virtual instrument.
